01: Arrival Yangon
Arrive at Yangon airport and transfer to your hotel.
Overnight in Yangon
Day
02: Yangon - Kyaikhtyo <coach>
Breakfast at hotel and depart for Kyaikhtyo <approx 7
hour>. Arrive at Kinpun base camp and board on an open
truck for 11 km steep and dirt road leads to the upper
staging point of Yathetaung camp. Continue walk up
<approx 45 min> to the renown Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda
site. Overnight at Kyaikhtyo.
Day
03: Kyaikhtyo
Breakfast at hotel and hike along the twisting and turning
footpath through bamboo forest to visit site trips such as
Kyaukkyikan Pasat, Mokesotaung, Ngaga Yeawin etc. Observe
herbal medicine on sale and visit people in meditation
that you may come across in one of the many smaller stupas
or caves. Overnight at Kyaikhtyo.
Day
04: Kyaikhtyo - Bago - Mandalay <coach / train>
Breakfast at hotel and return back to the base camp. Meet
your driver and continue drive to Bago, ancient capital of
Mon, known as Hansavati. Visit Shwethalyaung the world
largest reclining Buddha Image and other major monument in
Bago. Board on night train for Mandalay. Overnight on
train.

05 / 06: Mandalay
Arrive Mandalay early in the morning and transfer to
hotel. You will be on your own to explore Mandalay. Ideal
to visit Kyawzun jetty and Mingun across the Ayeyarwady
river, Mahamuni Image and Amapura "meaning city of
immortality" with a visit of unique 200 years old U
Bin wooden bridge, Mahagandayon Monastery with lunch
process of hundreds of Buddhist monks, ancient capital of
Ava for it's unique monasteries and monuments include
Bargaya teak monastery which is famous for its teak
pillars amounting to 267 in total. You may also visit
Sagaing, covered with 600 white-painted pagodas and
monasteries, widely regarded as the religious centre of
Myanmar and is home of 3,000 monks and 100 meditation
centers, "the largest book" at Kuthodaw Pagoda
where entire Buddhist canon recorded on stone tablets
totaling 729 in number and Shwekyaungdaw "golden
Monastery" to observe finest Myanmar wooden
architecture etc. Overnight in Mandalay.

07: Mandalay - Bagan <cruise> <except on Wed /
Sun>
Early morning transfer to jetty for a leisurely day cruise
to Bagan along Myanma lifespan Ayeyarwady river. <Shwekennery
departs Mandalay at 06:00><check in time
05:30><time to depart your hotel 05:00>. Bagan is
the richest archaeological site in Asia founded in 10th
century AD. The 230 years when Bagan was the capital of
Myanmar was marked by religious fervor and building frenzy
resulting in the thousands of stupas and temples. Among
them as many as two thousand of them stand till today.
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Bagan.
Day
08/ 09: Bagan
You will be on your own to explore next two days in Bagan.
You will wander its dusty tracks visiting magnificent
temples and towering pagodas with ancient and beautifully
painted murals dating back over a millennium. One can
easily imagine in the morning's mist a parade of gilded
elephants passing between the white pagodas, laden
ox-carts raising a cloud of dust as they slowly plod
towards the horizon, or a line of saffron robed monks
collecting their daily food in black lacquered alms bowls.
The elephants were gone, but the rest remains. The most
impressive and inspiring monuments are Thatbinnyu, Ananda,
Gawdanpalin, Dhammayangi temples and the Shwezigon Pagoda.
The temple interiors are often filled with rows of Buddha,
images of guardian "Nats" or spirit gods and
intricate murals depicting the life of Buddha and scenes
of royalty. In the evening a climb up of one of the ruins
for a breathtaking view of the sun setting over the mighty
river and the surrounding plain filled with countless
temples and pagodas. You will also visit a lacquer-ware
workshop and the long and arduous process of making bowls
and trays that often take months to complete. Overnight in
Bagan.
Day
10: Bagan - Mt. Popa - Kalaw <coach>
Breakfast at hotel and depart for Kalaw through the
mainland and twisting and turning hilly drive through Shan
plateau. En-route visit Mt. Popa, said to be the core of
an extinct volcano. Mt. Popa considered the abode of most
powerful "Nats" <spirit> and important Nat
worship center as well as major pilgrimage destinations.
After a long day drive you will feel cool comfortable to
arrive this hill station town. Overnight in Kalaw.

11: Kalaw <coach>
Breakfast at hotel and leisure rest of the day. Ideal to
visit near by ethnic villages to observe their daily life.
Overnight in Kalaw.
Day
12: Kalaw - Pindaya - Inle Lake <coach>
Breakfast at hotel and depart for Pindaya cave. Explore
around wonder of the mystery cave and near by Po O
traditional paper umbrella making process. Proceed to Inle
Lake <approx 2 hour>. Overnight in Nyaungshwe.
Day
13: Inle Lake
Breakfast at hotel. You will be on your own to explore the
unique lake. Traveling on the lake is an exhilarating
experience for nature lovers and a chance to observe the
unique tradition of the Intha people. Wonder unique leg
rowing fishermen, floating firms, houses and monasteries
on stilt. Phaungdaw Oo pagoda, Ngaphechaung monastery and
some of cottage industries are worth visiting. Overnight
in Nyaungshwe.
Day
14: Inle - Heho - Yangon <coach / flight>
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Heho airport for your
onwards flight to Yangon. Upon arrival transfer to hotel.
Overnight in Yangon.

15: Departure
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport for your
onwards departure to complete this unique experience. |
